Jules Appleby

With a background in Arts Communications, Jules Appleby began her career in public relations and event management at The Promotions Department, one of Australia’s leading PR agencies.

She went on to join the launch team of Foxtel, helping bring the network to market and continuing her work in television publicity for several years. Building on this experience, Jules founded her own agency, Scout Media, where she worked across film, television, and magazine clients, shaping campaigns and creative narratives.

Now based in New York’s Hudson Valley, Jules creates visual content for local businesses, blending her background in PR with a sharp eye for storytelling, aesthetics, and brand identity.

Jules sells large-scale photographic prints that feature still-life botanical photography as well as her travel stories, a curated selection of street images taken during her travels to Europe and currently developing a fine art series with the process of cyanotype called Blue Botanica.

Jules most recent project, and one  especially close to her heart, ‘Farm, Forage, Feast’ a photodocumentary capturing the ‘symbiotic’ relationship between farm and table in the Hudson Valley.
